Over a decade ago, Sporty's and Gemini Jets teamed up to bring the first die-cast, 1:72 scale, general aviation
model to our customers. since our very first introduction of the Cessna 172, we've also released the first
Piper J-3 Cub and the Cirrus SR22. Our latest release is the SR22-G6 Turbo, and it certainly does not disappoint,
featuring a beautiful blue paint scheme highlighted by black outlines and gray accents.
The Cirrus SR22 has been the world's best-selling general aviation aircraft since 2003. It has surpassed both
Cessna and Piper, former leaders in sales since the early 20th century. The SR22 is now the world's premier
aircraft for cadet pilots and for other training purposes, both civilian and military.
Officialy licensed, this 1:72 scale die-cast replica of the Cirrus SR22-G6 Turbo boasts detailed printed graphics,
realistic landing gear, a see-through cockpit and a rotating propeller. The included display stand lets you
customize the flight configuration. The model measures 4" in length with a wingspan of 6".
Out of all the general aviation models we've created, the SR22-G6 is one of my personal favorites. Don't get me
wrong, I enjoy the Cessna 172 and the J-3 Cub, but there's just something special about a colorful Cirrus. I'm
also a huge fan of the color combination used on these year Cirrus.
This limited-edition Cirrus model is replicated after a Sporty's Pilot Shop customer's actual aircraft. Every year,
we hold a contest asking customers to submit images of their planes. this tradition has been a joy to participate
in—not only are we introducing beautiful aicraft to the model world, but we're also making aircraft owers proud.
