One of the most influential aircraft of all time.
Replicated after a Piper J-3 Cub stationed at Flying W Airport in New Jersey, this airplane is owned and operated by Joe Costanza, an Airbus captain and avid Cub pilot. Built in 1941 with the Franklin engine and later equipped with a Continental A-65-8, Costanza's Cub features a Sensenich wooden propeller. One of more than 20,000 built between 1938 and 1947, it remains a beloved icon of aviation history. Constructed from a tube steel frame with fabric coverings, the recognizable aircraft has a standard "Lock Haven Yellow" color with black accents across the exterior. Officially licensed, this die-cast model replicates Joe Costanza's Piper J-3 Cub. Featuring detailed printed graphics, realistic landing gear, see through cockpit, and a rotating propeller, it faithfully represents the historic aviation icon. For flight configuration, an included metal stand brings the aircraft to life. Measures 4”l with a wingspan of 6” at 1:72 scale.
