Yakovlev Yak-3 Die-Cast Model

Designed and built during WWII, the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-3 was a single engine and single crew fighter craft. Modernizing the previous Yak-1, it was powered by the new Klimov VK-107 engine and entered service by 1944. An excellent dogfighter with easy controls, it successfully took on and defeated numerous German opponents during the war. At the end of service life over 4,800 had been manufactured, becoming well known and well beloved for its achievements. Die-Cast model features engraved panel lines with reproduced surface details, historic paint scheme, and display stand to show the model in flight. Also has a spinning propeller and includes a display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 4.75”l with a 5.25” wingspan at 1:72 scale.
