Limited Edition “Museum of Flying” 1991 Artist Proof Signed Print

British artist Philip Castle has always had a deep fondness for aviation. However, he is probably best known for his artwork for such famous films like A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, MARS ATTACKS!, and FULL METAL JACKET. His art has also graced many platinum-selling albums including Paul McCartney’s WINGS and albums for David Bowie, Mott the Hoople, The Cars, and Elkie Brooks. When it comes to aviation, Castle often combines his bold style with movie actresses of the 1930s and 1940s including Jean Harlow and Jane Russell. For the famous 1991 Museum of Flying Vintage Aircraft Auction, he combined images of classic warplanes into an artist’s proof edition of just 100 posters printed on highest-quality art paper. Since 1991, there is less than 20 left making this piece very limited. The edition was never offered for public sale and is signed by the artist, Philip Castle. Print measures 25”w x 32”h (unframed).
