First taking flight in 2016, the A321neo is one of the newest offerings from Airbus, competing with other aircraft of the type such as the Boeing 737 Max. It features a single aisle, a narrow body design with two engines and a medium range of travel, intended to reduce costs for airlines and allow more aircraft to be purchased. The typical A321neo in service has a capacity of 180-220 passengers, with a range of around 4,000 miles.
