The A-10 Thunderbolt II, or more commonly known as the Warthog, is the premier close air support aircraft of the US Air Force. Featuring superior loitering capabilities and excellent maneuverability due to its large wing area, the “Hog” can survey and attack targets with ease. Its high wing ratio also permits short takeoff and landings on the battlefield, an important asset for any strike fighter. However, the aircraft is best known for its nose mounted 30mm GAU-8 Avenger rotary cannon, which features incredibly powerful anti-tank or high explosive shells that can rip through enemy establishments. Often A-10s are painted with a prominent “Shark mouth” design on the nose to highlight this fearsome component, warning enemies of impending fire. This specific model is painted with the mottled green camouflage and shark mouth, reminiscent of the Flying Tigers, serving in the 23rd FW, 74th FS. Features an authentic livery, etched panel lines, printed decals and display stand to show the aircraft in flight. Measures 4.5”l with a 5” wingspan at 1:140 scale.
• Features the “Flying Tigers AVG” livery, with etched panel lines, printed detailing, and reproduced surface details just like the real A-10 Thunderbolt II.
• Includes a display stand to demonstrate the aircraft in flight.
