The Boeing 747 has seen a star-studded life in the history books, being produced from 1969 until 2023, with a total of 1,574 being manufactured. Designed to carry hundreds of passengers across nearly 10,000 miles or more, the jumbo jet was set to fill the role that hundreds of airlines begged for. From this point on, more than a dozen variants of the 747 began to fill the skies in the coming decades, reaching far beyond what most would have expected.

Carrying around 400 passengers like in its name, this version of the jumbo jet is outfitted for high-capacity travel, piloted by a crew of two in the cockpit. Powered by four General Electric CF6 engines, the aircraft creates more than 240,000 lbs of thrust on takeoff, allowing the 437-ton aircraft to reach extremely high cruising speeds. Maximum speed is nearly 600 mph, range is over 8,300 miles, and maximum takeoff weight is over 800,000 lbs.

Receiving its first examples in mid-1989, this Boeing 747-400 was one of the most beloved aircraft of United Airlines’ historic fleet. Registered as N175UA, it was painted with the iconic “tulip” logo, penned by the graphic designer and filmmaker Saul Bass. Therefore, between 1974 and 1993 this vibrant orange and blue paint scheme would be named after its creator, becoming the United Airlines “Saul Bass” livery. Die-Cast version has an authentic paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad-printed decals, and retracted or deployed landing gear. The model also features realistic flaps in the deployed position and metal display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 14.25”l with a 13“ wingspan at 1:200 scale.

  • Features etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and authentic livery, with small antennas and surface detailing carefully reproduced.
  • Includes optional retracted or deployed landing gear and metal display stand to show the model in flight configuration.
  • Measures 14.25”l with a 13” wingspan at 1:200 scale
  • Highly collectable and officially licensed.
