Replicated from the UH-1C “Mike” Huey Gunship, this die-cast model belonged to the HA(L)-3 Seawolves squadron that was formed in 1967 during the Vietnam War.
Utilized for troop transport, medevac, and gunship duties, the UH-1 Huey performed admirably in every duty it undertook. Designed with revolutionary turbine power, it heralded the famous “whop-whop-whop” rotor-noise. Assigned to the 3rd Helicopter Attack Squadron HA(L)-3 in the 1960s, this Huey performed close air support over the Mekong Delta. Known for their bravery, this group was highly effective in pushing back enemy forces. Among 7,000 other UH-1s that participated during the Vietnam conflicts, the Seawolves were revered for their contributions.
