Operational during WWII, the Short Sterling was a British bomber that was introduced to the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1941. Though known for its ability to out-turn enemy fighters and its favorable handling characteristics, the Stirling was often criticized for its low altitude ceiling. Serving a brief career on the frontline, it was soon being relegated to second line duties from late 1943. Die-cast model features engraved panel lines, authentic markings, and a display stand. Measures 7.5”l with an 8” wingspan at 1:144 scale.
