Pratt & Whitney R-985 Polished Master Rod Assembly

This authentic Pratt & Whitney Master Rod Assembly was used on a real Pratt & Whitney R-985 Wasp radial engine. The R-985 is a nine-cylinder, single-row, air-cooled radial engine that was first introduced in the 1930s. Its power rating varied from around 300 to 450 horsepower, depending on the specific model and application. The R-985 was used in various aircraft, including the Beechcraft Model 18, Gee Bee Model Z, Lockheed Model 10 Electra, Sikorsky H-5 Helicopter and the de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver, among others. Like the R-1340, it has remained a popular choice for vintage and historic aircraft due to its proven track record and the availability of spare parts. Please note: the master rods have been used on a real aircraft engine so there will be blemishes; no two are alike. Master Rod Assembly measures 6.5”w x 15”l x 3.5” thick and weighs 8.05 lbs. Please note; since actual use, this Master Rod has since been polished by the manufacture.
