Developed with numerous efficiency improvements, the 4th Generation Boeing 737 MAX was officially announced in the early 2010s. Targeting the latest Airbus A320 offerings, Boeing’s line was anticipated to eclipse its rival, with greater performance and lower costs. With hundreds of orders flowing in for all four new specifications, Boeing would be placed under heavy pressure to deliver, though several issues delayed the official certification until 2017. Since then, thousands of aircraft have been delivered to customers, providing smooth and cost-effective travel to millions of passengers.
- Features engraved panel lines, pad printed decals, and authentic livery, with small antennas and surface detailing carefully reproduced.
- Includes retracted or deployed landing gear and metal display stand to show the model in flight configuration.
- Measures 7.75”l with a 7.25” wingspan at 1:200 scale
- Highly collectable and limited-edition model.
First to reach the market in this new line, the Boeing 737 MAX 8 boasts new split wingtips for increased efficiency and an extended fuselage, allowing for up to 210 passengers onboard. Enhancing energy management, the MAX 8 also features new CFM Leap-1B engines which produce 29,000 lbs of thrust each, allowing the aircraft to have a maximum takeoff weight of 182,200 lbs. Cruising speed is now 521mph, with an official range of 4,000 miles and the service ceiling is over 40,000 ft. Each of these attributes allow for 14% lower airframe maintenance costs and 20% fuel savings, while being 50% quieter in flight.
As part of their commitment to a more sustainable and quieter future, Luxair now operates two of the 4th-Generation Boeing 737 Max 8 airliner. Supporting medium range travel with up to 186 passengers onboard, both of these aircraft were delivered in mid-2023, providing increased efficiency and comfort to the highest degree. Boasting up to 20% lower C02 emissions, Luxair has officially joined the push to decarbonize air travel. Die-Cast version has an authentic paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad-printed decals, and retracted or deployed landing gear. Also includes a metal display stand to show the model in flight configuration. Measures 7.75”l with 7.25” wingspan at 1:200 scale.
