F4U Corsair Exhaust Valve
This authentic Exhaust Valve was used on a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine, found on the legendary Vought F4U Corsair. This powerful engine produced 2,000 hp and was the largest engine available in the late 30s and early 40s. Please note: the exhaust valve has been used on a real aircraft engine so there will be blemishes, oil stains, and residue on each valve. No two are alike. Valve measures 6”h x 2.5” in dia.

Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Engine Data Plate
This Data Plate was used on an actual Pratt & Whitney R-2800 engine, famously used on the F4U Corsair, A-26 Invader, DC-6, F6F Hellcat, B-26 Marauder, and the P-47 Thunderbolt. The Pratt & Whitney R-2800 is a radial piston aircraft engine that was widely used during and after WWII. It is considered one of the most successful and powerful radial engines ever built. The R-2800 is a double-row, 18-cylinder, air-cooled radial engine. It has a displacement of 2,804 cubic inches and was initially designed to deliver around 2,000 horsepower. However, subsequent variants and improvements increased its power output to over 2,800 horsepower. The development of the R-2800 engine began in the 1930s, and it first flew in 1939. It was primarily produced by Pratt & Whitney, an American aerospace manufacturer. Today, while the R-2800 is no longer in widespread use, some aircraft enthusiasts and restoration projects maintain aircraft equipped with this engine. It remains an important part of aviation history and is celebrated for its significant contributions during a critical era of aviation. This authentic Engine Plate measures 4”w x 3”h.
