Developed in the 1970s as a response to the incoming Russian MiG-25, the McDonnell Douglas F-15 was intended to take hold of the skies in defense of the United States.

With powerful engines, massive fuel capacity and deadly air-to-air capability, nothing would stand in the way of its superiority. By the time the MiG-25 was captured from a defected pilot, it was discovered that this menacing fighter was not as terrifying as it once appeared. It was heavy and cumbersome, with unreliable engines and poor turning performance. At this point, the F-15 was understood to have vastly out-developed its opposition, proving to be a monster on the battlefield with an undefeated air-to-air win ratio.

  • Features a high-quality camouflage livery with engraved panel lines, printed decals, antennas, and surface details.
  • Includes deployed or retracted landing gear, configurable intake ramps, and display stand to show the aircraft in flight.
  • Comes with a pair of fuel tanks and the ASM-135 ASAT missile which simply press-fits into place on the underbelly.
  • Measures 10.75”l with a 7.25” wingspan at 1:72 Scale.
  • Highly collectible and officially licensed model.

Designed as a pure air-to-air intercept and defense fighter, the new F-15A and C carried no ground-attack weapons or guidance equipment. With up to 8 AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles or AIM-9 Sidewinders, the venerable Eagle was kitted out for maximum effectiveness. It also carried the advanced AN/APG-63 radar unit, M61A1 Vulcan 20mm cannon, and up to three 600-gallon fuel tanks, resulting in over 1,200 miles of combat range. Combine this with the 1:1 power to weight ratio and excellent maneuvering characteristics, it checked all the important boxes in air-to-air combat.

Immortalized in one of the most famous aviation photographs, this F-15A was the first “space ace” to fire the ASM-135 anti-satellite missile. Nicknamed the “Celestial Eagle” for its stratospheric climbing launch, this aircraft successfully deployed the ASAT missile under permission from president Reagan. Moments later at 500km over the earth, the Solwind P78-1 solar observatory was taken down by the deployed ASM-135. Die-Cast version features a high-quality paint scheme, pad printed details, engraved panel lines, and surface detailing. Includes retracted or deployed landing gear, configurable intake ramps, and display stand to show the model in flight, and the historic ASM-135 ASAT missile. Measures 10.75” in length with a 7.25” wingspan at 1:72 scale.
