Operated by the US Navy as their primary air superiority fighter in defense of its carrier battle groups, the F-14 demonstrated advanced AIM-54 Pheonix active-radar missiles against its foes. Representing the VF-31 “Tomcatters” squadron, this F-14D Tomcat was the last in operation by the US Navy, completing 14 years of service onboard CVN-71 USS Theodore Roosevelt by October 4, 2006. Final flight was completed between NAS Oceana and Republic Airport, in Farmingdale, New York, where it now is on display at Cradle of Aviation Museum in Long Island. Die-Cast version features an authentic livery, etched panel lines, printed decals and display stand to show the aircraft in flight. Measures 4.75”l with a 3” wingspan at 1:160 scale.
