First flying after 2016, the Boeing 737 Max line is the fourth-generation offshoot of the successful 737 design. Featuring improvements were made to increase the efficiency, range, and performance to compete with designs such as the Airbus A320, it was anticipated to be an outstanding new offering. Due to the troublesome launch of the MAX 8, the line has seen some setbacks in production or certification, but the brand expects these to be ironed out by the mid-2020s as deliveries commence.

The Max 8 version was the first to be created of the new line, intended to replace the 737-800 in active service. Compared to its predecessor, it has new split wingtips for increased efficiency and an extended fuselage, allowing for up to 210 passengers. Cruising speed is 521mph, with an official range of 4,000 miles and a service ceiling of 41,000 ft. The aircraft is propelled by two CFM Leap-1B engines, producing 29,000 lbs of thrust each and allowing the aircraft to have a maximum takeoff weight of 182,200 lbs. All the airframe improvements add up to a 14% lower airframe maintenance cost and 20% fuel savings, while being 50% quieter in flight.

Delivered to Alaska Airlines in December 2023 under registration N810AK, this Boeing 737 MAX 8 is painted with the iconic Inuk face on the tail. Accented by vibrant blue, green, and turquoise highlights, this beautiful aircraft continues the adoption of the type by its operator, with 5 currently in service by mid-2024. Die-Cast replica has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and detailed landing gear. Measures 4”l with a 3.5” wingspan at 1:400 scale.

  • Features etched panel lines, pad printed decals, and authentic livery, with small antennas and surface detailing carefully reproduced.
  • Includes detailed pre-installed landing gear with rotating wheels.
  • Measures 4”l with a 3.5” wingspan at 1:400 scale
