First flying in 2004, the Embraer E190 is a modern, narrow-body jetliner, featuring lightweight technologies that cut costs for operation. Continuing the E-jet family, it slots into the higher end of the table as the second largest capacity version, with over 30% more seating capacity than the smaller E-170s and around 15% less than the E-195.
Up to 114 passengers can be seated in the E190 variant, but standard mixed class seating is between 80 and 100 with 2 crew members in the cockpit. Powering the E190 and E195 variants are a pair of Pratt and Whitney PW1919G engines which create around 46,000 lbs combined thrust on takeoff, 25% more than the E-175’s. Altitude ceiling of the jet is 41,000 ft, with a cruising speed of 541 mph and a maximum weight of 114,000 lbs.
Featured on this model is the Air France “HOP” livery, found on all of the 21 E190s in this regional airline’s fleet. Expected to lower costs and decrease noise levels, it is an obvious pick for the flight routes operated. The type fulfils flights on behalf of the mainline Air France line, headquartered out of Nantes Atlantique Airport. This Die-Cast version features an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad printed decals, detailed landing gear, and display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 7.5”l with a 5.75” wingspan at 1:200 scale.
