This Limited Edition Print depicts Lt. Douglas Campbell securing his fifth aerial victory during WWI establishing his status as an Ace. On the morning of May 31, 1918, Lt. Campbell of the 94th Aero Squadron took off in his Nieuport 28 near Lironville and encountered German aircraft. After a twisting, turning game of cat-and-mouse, Lt. Campbell sent his enemy straight into the ground. In all, Campbell would finish WWI with 6 confirmed victories. Each Print is numbered and includes a Certificate of Authenticity and signed by the late Douglas Campbell and artist Roy Grinnell. Measures about 30”w x 24”h.
