Developed as the “Next-Generation” of the original Boeing 737 type, this late 90s modification was intended to increase fuel capacity, carry more weight, and increase range. It also led to more passengers onboard and better interior configurations. This generation begun test flights in 1997, with production commencing by the end of the year. Carrying up to 140 passengers onboard in various configurations, with range around 2,600 miles, the type is powered by two CFM International CFM-56 engines. Generating a combined 44,000 lbs of thrust, this aircraft can reach an altitude ceiling of 37,000 ft, cruising speed of 494 mph, and a maximum weight of 138,500 lbs.

Sole remaining operator of the Boeing 737-300, Jet2 Airways is a lower-cost passenger service based from the UK. Awaiting the newer Airbus A321 and A320neo as replacements, Jet2 has made the decision to keep their current fleet operational with some important upgrades. In order to decrease the costs during this transition period, the airline’s 737s will receive the “Split-Scimitar” winglets to increase their fuel efficiency in the coming years. Die-Cast version has an accurate paint scheme, etched panel lines, pad-printed decals, pre-installed detailed landing gear, and metal display stand to show the model in flight. Measures 7.5”l with a 6.5” wingspan at 1:200 scale.
